This class is for the student who wants to learn to be successful at making sweaters. From the pattern - The Cromwell pullover is the new favorite sweater. With longer sleeves, a roomy neckline, 3x1 ribbing and a relaxed fit, it gives a modern look to the traditional raglan-sleeve pullover. Knit in one piece from the top down with a springy worsted weight yarn. it’s a great advanced beginner piece. In the first session, we will be examining the pattern and interpreting the information to find those things that need to be understood at the beginning of any project. With this project we will focus on things such as measurements, gauge, needle and yarn selection. In the following classes we will use the information learned to work the specific details of your sweater. The skills you develop here will be applicable to your future projects.

The pattern used DK weight yarn US#2 needles and makes an elephant that is approximately 5" tall. Larger needles and yarn will make a larger Elephant. The model in the store was made with a super bulky yarn and US10 needles and he stands about 12" tall. The project is worked entirely on double point needles.

We will use Costal Cotton #2 or #4 to warp up and weave two Kitchen Towels. You should know how to warp up a rigid heddle loom either from the Beginning Class or from a class elsewhere.
