This class is for the student who wants to learn to be successful at making sweaters. From the pattern - The Cromwell pullover is the new favorite sweater. With longer sleeves, a roomy neckline, 3x1 ribbing and a relaxed fit, it gives a modern look to the traditional raglan-sleeve pullover. Knit in one piece from the top down with a springy worsted weight yarn. it’s a great advanced beginner piece. In the first session, we will be examining the pattern and interpreting the information to find those things that need to be understood at the beginning of any project. With this project we will focus on things such as measurements, gauge, needle and yarn selection. The skills you develop here will be applicable to your future projects.

Make bags, scarves, towels, blankets and more. Come join us for the day learning about Rigid Heddle Weaving. You will learn how to warp the loom to make a colorful scarf. The instructor will help you pick out your yarn at the beginning of class. You will need approximately 250 to 350 yards depending on the size of the yarn. We will discuss weaving terms, how to figure warp and weft, some simple design possibilities and how to finish off your scarf.
