A Rigid Heddle Loom is the perfect tool to expand your fiber working skills. Making your own cloth is fast and fun and opens up a world of possibilities for new projects. Make bags, scarves, towels, blankets and more. Come join us for the day learning about Rigid Heddle Weaving. You will learn how to warp the loom to make a colorful scarf. The instructor will help you pick out your yarn at the beginning of class. You will need approximately 250 to 350 yards depending on the size of the yarn. We will discuss weaving terms, how to figure warp and weft, some simple design possibilities and how to finish off your scarf.

Inkle bands can be used to make belts, straps, bookmarks, ornaments and more. You will learn to warp your loom and read patterns so you can re-warp a loom on your own. Finishing techniques will also be covered. We will choose the cotton yarn we will use at the beginning of class.
