Beginning Spinning
Have you ever wanted to learn how to spin your own yarn? It’s fun, it’s relaxing, and we can show you how! In this beginning class, you’ll learn about spinning methods, best fiber for beginning spinners, and basic wheel maintenance. We will start with spinning singles and then move into plying. By the time you leave, you will have a basic understanding and the skills to start spinning on your own. There is no experience needed. Just bring yourself – fiber and wheel rental are included.
Please be sure to bring a clean pair of socks as spinning is done without shoes.
Please note if using your own wheel-a tune up and inspection of your wheel will be required to ensure proper working order prior to class. This is included as part of your class fee. A credit card is required as a security deposit.
