Let's Spin Fine

Spinning fine is no more difficult than any other spinning. You’d wear tennies to go for a
run, not heels, right? You’ll learn to fine tune your techniques to meet your goals. We’ll review
types of fiber and why type is important, and look at woolen and worsted - both the fiber
preparation and the spinning method. Then we’ll put it all together to spin fine. We’ll also review
the wheel and how to use it to do more of the work for you, and cover good ergonomics for your
spinning habit. This is a fun class and a real confidence booster.
Wheel - must be in good operating condition
Skill Level - Intermediate-must be able to spin a long, continuous thread
Length - 3 hours
Bring - your wheel and all of its whorls, all the usual supplies such as oil and your User Manual,
at least 3 bobbins, lazy kate, niddy noddy, note paper and pencil. Bring fiber that you would like
to spin fine in class, or your usual fibers if you don’t have anything in mind. Fiber will also be
supplied in class.
