Beyond Beginning Inkle Weaving/Pick up Techniques
Requirements: A Beginning Class is not required, but you do have to know how to comfortably set up the Inkle loom.
Description: After you have learned how to set up an Inkle loom and read a pattern, what’s the next step? Pickup! In this one day class you will learn pick up techniques so you can make wonderful designs on your Inkle bands. There are several styles of pick up. You will learn about two in this class with a simple set up and pick one to try on your loom
Materials: Inkle loom, stick shuttle, 3-4 oz. of 3/2 Pearl Cotton in two contrasting colors, 3-4 popsicle sticks, a colored pencil, 1-2 sheets of graph paper, scissors, note taking materials. If you don't have 3/2 Pearl cotton there is a cotton yarn at the store that works well with pick-up.
