Drafting 201



Expand your horizons. Learn how to adjust your drafting to suit the fiber and your
purpose, and gain a wonderful new freedom in your spinning journey! You will
experience at least five different techniques and learn the why and how of each. Since
our bodies are all different, we will look at the ergonomics of spinning to help you tailor
your methods to avoid physical stress, pain and repetitive injury. Join us in this fun and
enlightening class!

Wheel - must be in good operating condition and is required to be checked by the instructor prior to class. Refunds will not be offered and repairs will not be made in class if your wheel is not in working order. Wheels are available to rent in the shop.

Skill Level - confident Beginner - must be able to spin a long, continuous thread

Length - 3 hours

Bring - Bring (or purchase at Piney Creek) fiber to spin in class, both combed (worsted
prep) and carded (woollen prep), your wheel, all the usual supplies, a minimum of three
bobbins, lazy kate, note paper and pencil for notes.

This class will have a 2 student minimum, if we do not reach the minimum the class will be canceled and your class fee will be refunded.
