Beginning Inkle Weaving Class



Fun Facts: 
Inkle weaving was referred to in Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost
Inkle means "ribbon" or "tape"

Materials list :
Inkle loom and shuttle  (looms can be rented from instructor with prior notice) During class and for the 1st week after loom rental is free.  Any time after that it is $15/week.  A credit card is required as a security deposit to take the loom home.
Scissors
At least 3 oz. each of 3 contrasting colors of 3/2 Pearl cotton.  The store has Anne Cotton #3 which works great.  (no wool please)

If you have these items please bring.  The instructor will have extras
3 - 1/2" craft sticks (think popcycle sticks)
carpet warp for heddles (any color)
tapestry needle 
1 or 2 colored pencils
1 sheet graph paper

Instructor: Robin
Instructor Bio: Robin Wilton has earned a BFA with a concentration in Weaving from CSU in Ft. Collins. She has been weaving for over 40 years. Known also as ?the Weaving Lady?, Robin specializes in doing programs about weaving and spinning to Denver metro area children in schools and at events. Robin has taught Weaving for shops and weaving guilds throughout the Front Range for many years.
